Peter Witts began this firm from understanding and insights inside the machine. As a former auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Peter saw a consistent pattern:


Innovative companies with valuable missions were losing money (and contracts) because their financial systems weren’t built for federal compliance.


That insight sparked the founding of Peter Witts CPA PC in 2000. From day one, our mission has been to provide the financial clarity and structure that growing contractors need to thrive under government funding. Today, we are a nationally recognized government contract accounting firm, providing Virtual CFO services, DCAA compliance support, indirect rate consulting, and federal invoicing systems for clients across multiple industries.
